#SaluteToStaff - Captain Jacqueline Zweng is a shi #SaluteToStaff - Captain Jacqueline Zweng is a shining example of CIC Officers who go the extra mile. In addition to working full time as the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific) J5 Plans Officer for Air Cadets, she volunteers for Wounded Warriors Canada as the British Columbia Events Coordinator.

"I work with WWC because I believe we need to stand up for those people that stand up for us every day. If we normalize the conversation around mental health it will make it easier for people to step forward when they need help."

Capt Zweng is hard at work organizing the Wounded Warrior Run BC, which includes a virtual run this year!

The virtual run is an opportunity for everyone to run with the team in their own communities as we know the need is greater than ever. Registration fees go towards the fundraising campaign for the Wounded Warrior Run BC. Participants can sign up and complete the run until Feb 14th.

In addition, the main run event has been postponed from Feb 21-28 to April 11-18, 2021 due to the current Provincial Health Orders.

Good evening, a very difficult decision has been made to cancel all cadet training, including Summer Training, until 31 Aug 2020. I, the staff and SSC are deeply saddened by the news, and Mr Miyashita has already put out a newsletter to the mailing list. I will be calling each cadet and their parents over the next few days to answer any questions you might have. Please have patience as there is still a lot of questions we don't have answers to but I'll do the best I can.

We, the staff, SSC and the Senior cadets are going to be working to keep the cadets and parents engaged and updated and will be looking to have our virtual meetings to keep us connected through until the end of the training year. If anyone has any questions or concerns please contact me directly at 583air@cadets.gc.ca or James.Taylor@cadets.gc.ca

From @cadetsca : “In order to ensure the safety and security of our people, and reduce the possibility of further transmission of COVID-19, Comd Natl CJCR Sp Gp has made the difficult decision to cancel all activities including summer activities related to the Cdts and JCRs.”
