Canoe – Saturday 14 Sep 19
583 is going Canoeing at Whonnock Lake on Saturday, September 14th between 10:00 and 3:00. When you arrive at the lake please have your group meet behind Whonnock Lake Center on the patio area.
There is no cost for this event, but please bring a CKBC Insurance Form for filled out for everyone that will be paddling (the form is on the Squadron website and a link will be emailed to you). In the bottom right hand corner it will ask you for amount paid, you can just leave that part blank as the cost of insurance is already included in price.
Their programs do run rain or shine so it is also a good idea to have cadets bring a towel, a change of clothes, a water bottle and sunscreen. They do recommend cadets wear jogging pants or shorts as it will be a little less uncomfortable if they get wet. They do have a boathouse where cadet can keep their things dry during the program however they ask that cadets do not bring valuables. There are also bathrooms that the students can access if needed.
