Reminder to all Cadets going on the FTX this weeke Reminder to all Cadets going on the FTX this weekend. There is a kit check at the squadron on Thursday 23 March starting at 1830 hrs. Once a cadets kit has been checked you can take your kit home so that it is prepared for Friday. 

For Friday 24 March Cadets have to meet at the squadron no later than 5pm as the bus leaves at 530pm sharp. Cadets should eat dinner before you arrive at the squadron.

Staff Cadet employment in support of the Summer Digital Learning Centre (SDLC) offers Senior Cadets the possibility to facilitate specific e-learning courses and hybrid Cadet Training Centre (CTC) courses. While providing staff cadets the ability to work from home for the duration of their summer contract, these opportunities also enable them to play a key role in facilitating dynamic and critical training to cadets from across the country.

The Information Technology (IT) On-the-Job-Trainin The Information Technology (IT) On-the-Job-Training (OJT) is a Staff Cadet opportunity to develop digital skills through education and work experience. These staff cadets will gain new skills in cybersecurity, web development, building applications, and so much more. This hands-on training experience gives staff cadets skills which enable them to be digital leaders within the Cadet Program and beyond. 

IT OJT Staff Cadets are selected through an enhanced application process. This process involves the submission of letter of interest which demonstrating their interest in information technology and outlines why they wish to participate in the OJT program. 

The purpose of this enhanced selection process is to ensure that the selected cadets are best suited for this opportunity.

Staff cadets employed in support of Cadet Activity Programs (CAPs) play a key role in the delivery of summer opportunities which are designed to augment corps and squadron programs for first and second-year cadets. While allowing senior cadets to be employed directly in their local areas, these positions are essential in providing experiences linked to Cadet Program aims and objectives in more than 100 communities.

The theme for this year is "Lift Each Other Up" and the Cadets Canada Team wants to ask Cadets what it means to "lift each other up" with a series of short Instagram reels.

*REMINDER* First Aid at Pitt Meadows Heritage Ha *REMINDER* 

First Aid at Pitt Meadows Heritage Hall for tomorrow,Monday 6, and next Monday 13 February is cancelled.
Reminder, this Thursday, 26 Jan, is the 2nd Cadet Reminder, this Thursday, 26 Jan, is the 2nd Cadet Fitness testing night. This is mandatory for Cadets to be eligible for promotion. Cadets are to wear appropriate Sports clothing including their Cadet Blue FTU T-shirt. Make sure you bring a pen as you will need to record your results and bring your water bottle.

This Thursday is Movie night at the Hollywood 3 in Pitt Meadows  at 19190 Lougheed Highway Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 1B3. 

1. Do not come to the squadron. 
2. Cadets need to arrive by 6pm. You should be done by 9pm or shortly thereafter. 
3. Do not wear your uniform. 
4. The Sponsoring Committee is paying for Admission, a pop and a popcorn. Anything else is at the Cadets own expense.

RCSU has been fortunate enough to secure a tour of HMCS Yellowknife on 4 DEC 2022 at 1100 hrs.  HMCS  Yellowknife will be docked in North Vancouver for a sail weekend.  Signing up is not a guarantee to go as we are sharing time slots with other units in the Lower Mainland. 

Cadets will be required to wear their uniform if it has been issued. Cadets who have not been issued a uniform are to dress appropriately with closed toe shoes. 

Cadets will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.  Due to the demand of the event, you will be contacted via EMAIL if you are selected to attend.  Please ensure that you can be reached in the email addresses below.

583 Coronation Squadron is active from September to June, and meets each Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on the Albion Fair Grounds in Maple Ridge. All youth aged 12 to 18 years are welcome to join this youth-oriented program.
