Today, we remember with gratitude the sacrifices made by those who gave their all for the values we hold dear.

Good evening, Cadets and Parents. The weather to Good evening, Cadets and Parents. 

The weather tomorrow for the Remembrance Day Parade is calling for rain. 

Cadets who were issued Cadet Blue Parka's should bring them tomorrow to their respective ceremony. Cadets not issued Cadet parkas should bring a heavy coat, preferably dark blue or dark in color or a neutral tone. A decision on whether overcoats/parkas will be worn will be made just prior to stepping off for the parade.

This is just a reminder that all Band Cadets and those cadets that live west of 203rd Avenue in Maple Ridge go to the Pitt Meadows Ceremony. 

The remainder of the Cadets that live east of 203rd Avenue are to go to the Maple Ridge ceremony. 

Cadets that are in the Guard or Flag Party for the Parades are going to meet at the Pitt Meadows Cenotaph or the Maple Ridge Legion at 0930 hrs. 

The remainder of the cadets should arrive in either Pitt Meadows or Maple Ridge no later than 10 am.

FTX November 17 – 19, 583 RCACS will be conduct FTX

November 17 – 19, 583 RCACS will be conducting Aircrew Survival Training in the Chilliwack Area C Training Site. All meals and transportation are provided.

**Please dress for the weather**

Drop off: 1630hrs November 17th at the Squadron

Pick Up: 1630hrs November 19th at the Squadron (bus could be back earlier depending on traffic)

Refer to the kit list on the website. It will most likely be cold/wet. Please dress for the weather, Field training uniform is what you will be wearing, but please bring a sweater and jacket. There could be snow..
Langley Museum Trip 9 Nov 2023 583 Coronation RCA Langley Museum Trip 9 Nov 2023

583 Coronation RCACS will be touring the Canadian Museum of Flight on 9 Nov 2023 to supplement the training curriculum.

Please fill out the form and indicate if you can provide your own transport. Parents can drop off and pick up directly at the flight museum in Langley.

A bus will be provided for cadets who are not able to provide their own transport to the airport. 

There is no option for one-way transport due to constraints on the bus.

The options are:

Cadets provide their own transport for the evening to the museum: 5333 216 St, Langley, BC V2Y 2N3, OR 
Cadets ride the bus to and from the Squadron.
Dress for the day will be C5 green FTU .

The Battle of Britain was the first time Canada had deployed its own identifiable national air assets (No. 1 Squadron) to a combat mission. 23 Canadian pilots lost their lives. More info can be found here:

This parade has not been held since COVID-19 and hundreds of Cadets from across the Lower Mainland will be on the parade along with veterans, a massed band and a colour party.

Senior Cadets, we are having a Senior Cadet retur Senior Cadets, 
we are having a Senior Cadet return night on Thursday 31 August. All Level 4 and 5 cadets are expected to attend. We will be deciding on most cadet appointments that evening so we will be ready for the first full attendance Registration/Admin night.

A few important dates to know as we are getting ready for the 2023-2024 Training Year. 

1. The Staff and SSC are looking forward to welcoming all returning Cadets and Parents back for Annual Validation to meet with the Sponsoring Committee. Thursday 7 Sep 2023 at 1830 hrs. Dress for Cadets is C5 Field Training Uniform. If you know of any friends that are interested in Cadets let them know we are looking to many new cadets to the Squadron. 

2. New Cadet Registration Night Thursday 14 Sep 2023. Timings to be announced shortly. 

Regular training for Cadets. Uniform 3B
Reminder to all Cadets. If you haven't signed up f Reminder to all Cadets. If you haven't signed up for the year end FTX from 9-11 Jun the cutoff is tomorrow Monday 5 Jun at 1900 hrs. Sign-up sheet is online. 

Also this coming Thursday 8 Jun is a Sports Night so wear appropriate civilian sport gear and the FTX is the next day.

583 Coronation Squadron is active from September to June, and meets each Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on the Albion Fair Grounds in Maple Ridge. All youth aged 12 to 18 years are welcome to join this youth-oriented program.
