Band/Flag Party

Open to all Levels. Dress is Civilian Attire.

Band: Bring everything you need to play (instrument, lyre, flip-folio, music, mouthpiece, reed(s), cork grease, valve/key oil, cleaning swab/pull-through, neck-strap, etc. as applicable for your instrument)! Also bring water, snacks, pen and paper, boots and your polishing cloth.

Flag Party: This evening is Flag Party tryout practise night. Being in the Flag Party is an honour to carry or escort the Canadian Flag. This is a competitive process. If you are interested in being selected for the Flag Party, come out for training and practice, as the try-outs and selection will occur the following week.

REMINDER – Reeds, cork grease, key oil, valve oil, cleaning swabs/pull-throughs, etc. are consumables. It is the responsibility of the cadet musician to let their parent/guardian know if they require any of these items, so the parent/guardian may purchase them for you before the next practise. These are an individual responsibility and are not funded by the SSC. We are asking that band cadets bring a signed cheque for $15, to be cashed only if a cadet loses their lyre and/or flip folio, which have been purchased with SSC funds. There were several of these folios lost last year.
