Range/Biathlon

October 29 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT

1300 – 1600 hrs. Dress is Civilian Attire. At the Commercial Barn (where we regularly parade). OPI Lt Murray.

Note: We have 9 cadets (Giouroukas, Halstead, Han, Liu, Nichols, Pan, Pangilinan, Tryon and Zheng) signed up for Biathlon. Range practice provides the marksmanship training, but there is also aerobic conditioning training and skiing training required in order to be successful. Please let Lt Murray or Capt Middelveen know when during the week is preferable to conduct additional running or skiing training (currently suggested times are Saturday or Sunday morning, 10 to noon). The Zone and Regional biathlon competitions are scheduled for:

  • Stage 2 – Run & Shoot, January 27th & 28th at the Abbotsford Agriplex

  • Stage 3 – Ski & Shoot, Mar/Apr 2024 at Sovereign Lake Vernon (TBD)
Obviously biathlon training requires extra time, so if there is another cadet parent who is interested in pitching-in, please let Lt Murray or Capt Middelveen know.
