Mandatory Event – Snow Shoeing @ Mount Seymour
Sat. Feb 15 – Meet 0845 at the Squadron
PLEASE DRESS WARMLY. Bring a water bottle and bag lunch
There is no cost to the cadet and transportation will be provided by the Department of National Defence who is providing us with a free 60 passenger bus. If we do not get enough cadet interest we will have to cancel this cadet activity so please remind your cadet to sign up this Thursday. If he/she will not be at cadets this Thursday but wish to attend the snow shoeing activity please email the SSC no later then Thursday night.
Participating cadets are to arrive at the Squadron on Sat by 0845hrs and will leave Mount. Seymour no later then 1600hrs.
It may be a bit windy and lots of snow so it will be cold. Dress for winter, but in layers because you will be working and you will warm up. We recommend long johns/under armour, a regular shirt, a thin sweater, and then a wind proof jacket if you have one. (Do not wear jeans) you can wear sweat pants, ski pants – comfortable and not too tight.
All cadets must pack a bag lunch and bring a water bottle. Suggest that you bring a bag or backpack to put the lunch, water bottle and room for clothes as you delayer.
